Birth rates are declining in the US. Death rates are rising

Americans are having fewer babies. New births are declining in the US, while death rates are rising.

New data from the Atlanta-based CDC shows from 2010 to 2023, the number of births dropped 10%.

The data also showed deaths rose 25% during that same period.

However, those rates were greatly impacted by the covid pandemic.

The aging US population is also contributing to the rising death rates.
