ATLANTA — An autopsy is scheduled for Friday for an Atlanta man who was found dead following a skiing accident in New York.
Police say 44-year-old Michael Vacek Jr. did not return to the lodge with his friends after an outing at Whiteface Mountain.
Ski patrol later found Vacek in the tree line along one of the trails. Authorities say crews attempted to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
