Atlanta’s fifth-tallest building gets “topping out” ceremony

ATLANTA — A “topping out” ceremony is set for Friday morning at midtown Atlanta’s newest high-rise.

1072 West Peachtree is the tallest building constructed in the city in more than three decades.

The final beam is going up at the 749ft tower.

Overall, it’s Atlanta’s fifth-tallest building and will include hundreds of luxury apartments as well as office and retail space when it opens.
