ATLANTA — Investigators believe they are one step closer to finding an arsonist.
Atlanta Fire and Rescue sent Channel 2 Action News pictures of the person they think started a fire in a building that houses college students and businesses.

Investigators are hoping someone recognizes the person in the photos and video so they can figure out why the fire was deliberately set.
Channel 2′s Tyisha Fernandes spoke to investigators who said clothes were used to start that fire, but they are still trying to figure out why.
They believe the man in the video has something to do with the fire set in a lobby bathroom in October.
Investigators said at 1 p.m. Oct. 10 the man walked up to the Square on Fifth building on Spring Street and entered the lobby through an unlocked door. It is a mixed use building with businesses and student housing for Georgia Tech.

The video shows the person of interest carrying a black book bag and trying to gain access to other parts of the building, but he couldn’t because he didn’t have a key fob.
He got into a lobby bathroom, and that’s where investigators said he set a pile of clothes on fire.

The fire didn’t spread to other parts of the building because sprinklers were able to put it out in the bathroom.
