ATLANTA — Atlanta police are searching for suspects after a double shooting injured a 21-year-old man and a woman in her 80s.
Atlanta Police Capt. Germaine Deerlove says the shooting was targeted, but the woman was an innocent bystander.
“We don’t want these folks walking around our city especially acting this reckless,” Deerlove said.
Police say the shooting may be related to gunfire in the area of East Rhinehill Road and Browns Mill Road.
Investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting and identify those responsible.
“Trying to assess what led to the shooting incident and work to identify leads. This was a reckless incident and the Atlanta Police Department will work tirelessly to identify the suspects involved,” Deerlove said.
Both victims were conscious and breathing when they were taken to the hospital
