Atlanta Braves fans pack the streets of Atlanta and Cobb for parade

ATLANTA — Thousands of Braves fans packed the streets of downtown Atlanta Friday morning to cheer on their World Series Champions.
Around noon Friday, a caravan of vehicles carrying Braves players and their families cruised down Peachtree Street as throngs of fans partied in the streets and celebrated the first Braves World Series Win in nearly three decades. Players waved from on top of several busses as excited fans waves signs and threw confetti.
The parade continued on to the Battery, where fans packed the streets to welcome the team home.
Throughout the parade, which lasted around three hours, various players and coaches held the World Series trophy for fans to see.
The team is now at Truist Park, where there will be a ceremony and a concert featuring Ludacris and Big Boi this afternoon.

From road closures to the complete schedule, here is everything you need to know about the championship parade.
PARADE ROUTE
The parade started around noon near Centennial Olympic Park at Peachtree Street and Marietta Street.
It then continued up Peachtree Street and 10th Street and onto Interstate 75, where the team will headed to Cobb County.
The parade picked back up on Cobb Parkway at Riverwood Parkway and proceed to Cobb Parkway at Battery Avenue.
PARADE TRAFFIC
Road closures along and near the parade route in Cobb County started as early as 10 a.m.
The surrounding streets in Atlanta were blocked off at 11 a.m. with no access for cars to drive on or near the parade route.
The Georgia Department of Transportation announced the following road closures for interstate exits:
US 41/SR 3/Cobb Parkway from Riverwood Parkway to Akers Mill Road – 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
US 41/SR 3/Cobb Parkway from Riverwood Parkway to I-285 (Ramps open, all exiting traffic directed NB) – 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
US 41/SR 3/Cobb Parkway from Riverwood Parkway to Cumberland Boulevard – Noon to 5:00 pm
Exit 19 (US 41/SR 3/Cobb Parkway) from I-285 Eastbound – Noon to 5:00 pm
Exit 20 from I-285 Westbound – Noon to 5:00 pm
Sweeping for re-opening of Cobb pkwy to begin at 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
PARADE SCHEDULE
9 a.m. - Braves parking lots for Truist Park ceremony open
11 a.m.- Live pre-parade coverage begins on Channel 2 Action News. You can watch it live on Channel 2, WSBTV.com and streaming on Apple TV, Amazon Fire and Roku.
12 p.m. – Parade begins at the corner of Marietta Street NW and Peachtree Street
1:15 p.m. – Parade pauses at Peachtree Street and 10th Street
2 p.m. – Parade resumes at Cobb Parkway and Riverwood Parkway
