ATLANTA — Officials say a popular Atlanta-based airlines did not make it onto a prestigious Wall Street earnings list this year.
For the first time in two years, officials say Delta Air Lines missed the list for the first time in two years.
However, airline officials say the demand for traveling remains high, despite higher ticket prices.
According to CEO Ed Bastian, Delta had to absorb a $6 billion increase in fuel costs during 2026.
“Fuel prices are something that we need to be prepared for, particularly in the product side,” he said. “In the fourth quarter, we’re going to see the prices even higher.”
High spending customers are blunting some of the blow, however, as premium seats keep selling out.
Bastain said airfares are likely to continue climbing.
