Gwinnett County police have arrested a man for again stealing air conditioning units.
Corporal Jake Smith tells WSB 25-year-old Zierre Odom was arrested for similar crimes during the summer of 2011. He bonded out on those crimes but was nearly caught in the act in a subdivision on Westheimer Road on Monday.
"Our officers responded to a complaint of a guy stealing parts from an air conditioner at her neighbor's house," said Smith. "The officers showed up in time to catch him in the neighborhood."
When they searched his car, police found parts to five different air conditioner units. They were able to match those parts up with homes in the area.
Odom has been charged with five counts of felony theft by taking, five counts of criminal damage to property in the second degree, one count of possession of tools for the commission of a crime, and one count of loitering and prowling.
