Measles outbreak linked to daycare in metro Atlanta area

ATLANTA — The Georgia Department of Health has confirmed four additional measles cases in the state.

The new measles cases are the close contacts of the confirmed measles cases reported last week, according to officials.

According to officials, the outbreak has been associated with a daycare in the metro Atlanta area.

The children were either unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated, officials said.

The Georgia Department of Health is trying to identify additional close contacts.
