FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — An elderly man faces charges after being accused of murdering his wife at a home in metro Atlanta over the weekend.
A domestic violence call sent Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputies to a home on Collins Point Road on Sunday evening, where they found a woman suffering from critical injuries.
“When deputies arrived, they found an adult female suffering from multiple injuries and they immediately started life-saving measures,” Stacie Miller with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said.
Those efforts were unsuccessful, and 81-year-old Deborah Miller was pronounced dead.
The victim’s husband, identified as 85-year-old Thomas Elliott Field, was arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault.
Field is being held at the Forsyth County Jail and is awaiting a first court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.
