HALL COUNTY, GA — An 81-year-old man was shot and killed in a Walmart parking lot in Hall County on Wednesday evening.
According to the Gainesville Police Department, a preliminary investigation indicates that gunfire erupted in the parking lot shortly after 7 p.m., striking an innocent bystander identified as James Edward McDaniel.
McDaniel died from his injuries.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is now investigating the deadly shooting.
