6-month-old dead after being caught in cross fire of shooting in NW Atlanta

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating the deadly shooting of a 6-month-old child in Northwest Atlanta.

Police said the child was shot along Anderson Avenue NW around 3 p.m. Monday.

That is near Anderson Park.

The child was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital where the child was pronounced dead.

Police said the child was caught in the cross fire of a drive-by shooting.

The child’s mother told Channel 2′s Dave Huddleston that a bullet went through her car and hit her child in the back seat.
