$100K and $50K Powerball winning tickets sold in Georgia

ATLANTA — Georgia Lottery officials confirmed two lucky Powerball players won big prizes following Wednesday night’s drawing.

Wednesday’s lucky numbers were 31, 43, 58, 59 and 66. The Powerball number was 9.

Officials said a $100,000 ticket was sold in Sardis, Georgia at the Jet Food Store on Charles Perry Avenue.

In addition to the winner in Sardis, Georgia Lottery officials said a $50,000 winning ticket was sold at a Publix on Bowman Road in Macon.

According to Lottery officials, the winner of the $100,000 managed to double their $50,000 prize with the 2X Power Play option.

However, Powerball officials said the jackpot prize was left unclaimed, meaning the next jackpot will grow to roughly $700 million.

There have been no jackpot winners since mid-November.
