Local Brits celebrate royal baby

A British-themed store in downtown Norcross is all abuzz with news of the royal baby.

Rukhsana Aguilar, owner of Taste of Britain, has been running a contest for the baby’s birth date, gender, weight, and name.  She will be going through the entries as soon as the baby is named.

“A lot of people thought it was going to be a girl, but they thought ‘George’ for a boy and ‘William’, of course,” she tells WSB’s Sandra Parrish.

Sue Shinall was sent over to the store by her daughters wanting to get a memento for the occasion.

Aguilar already has blue collector baby mugs on order that will also include the child’s name.

“If you look back in time, that’s part of our history too,” she says.

Jessica Miseria of Great Britain is here visiting for a few weeks before returning home. She’s happy the excitement for the royal family is felt in the U.S. as well.

“It’s really nice to know that not just England support them and not just England are happy for them,” she says.
