(ATLANTA, Ga.) — The Department of Human Services says they are working as fast as they can to approve thousands of SNAP benefits applications.
The department told WSB-TV investigative reporter Ashli Lincoln that they are experiencing a backlog in approving and renewing applications.
Lincoln has been looking into these delays for months, and has learned this most recent delay is caused by a shortage of employees.
