The Atlanta Falcons are once again warning fans to be cautious when they buy their tickets for Sunday's NFC Championship game. Otherwise, those fans will find themselves listening to the game from outside the Georgia Dome.
"Acquire your tickets from somebody you trust," says Jim Smith, vice president of sales and marketing for the Falcons, "so you know it's a valid ticket."
Smith says fans should realize that even tickets that look authentic may, in many cases, be counterfeit.
"If they got caught," says Atlanta police spokesman Greg Lyon, "they would be arrested and charged with a city ordinance and sent to city jail."
The Falcons also expect police to crack down on ticket scalpers this weekend.
