A 4-year-old is at the center of a custody exchange that turned into a double shooting in DeKalb County.
One woman is dead. She was reportedly the girlfriend of the child's father.
As for the child's mother, "she's not over the ex-boyfriend," the child's grandmother Brenda Flagg tells Channel 2 Action News.
"The new boyfriend -- I don't know nothing about him. I don't know why he did what he did, but I just feel like my daughter's not over the ex-boyfriend."
Police say the father got into an argument when the mother’s new boyfriend when the two went to pick up the child from the dad at a home on River Road. That's when at least one gun was drawn and two people were shot.
A suspected gunman was arrested after fleeing the scene. A gun believed to have been used in the crime was found in the nearby woods.
