FAYETTE COUNTY, GA — A Peachtree City man is in custody following a child exploitation investigation led by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Authorities say 38-year-old Steven David Olsen is facing five counts of sexual exploitation of children. He was arrested Thursday, April 2, 2026, and booked into the Fayette County Jail.
The investigation began in August 2025 after the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit received three cyber tips related to the distribution of child sexual abuse material.
The GBI worked in conjunction with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and says Olsen is one of several men arrested statewide in connection to the case.
Officials say the Peachtree City Police Department assisted with the investigation.
Anyone with information about other cases of child exploitation is asked to contact the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit at 404-270-8870.
