DEKALB COUNTY, GA — An investigation is underway after residents in a metro Atlanta community discovered two black bags floating in a body of water containing decapitated birds.
Police say five birds were found in bags at Lake Avondale in Avondale Estates. The bags have been turned over to DeKalb County Animal Control.
Officials say there was no identifying information on the bags but believe the birds were dumped recently.
