DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA — The GBI has been requested to investigate a shooting involving an officer on Friday afternoon in Villa Rica.
The investigation has shut down a portion of I-20 eastbound in Douglas County and there is heavy police activity in the area.
A portion of I-20 east in Douglas County has been blocked for several hours.
Motorists are being asked to avoid I-20 east if possible and seek alternate routes.
