COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police in Smyrna say an Alabama man walked into a police precinct and confessed to shooting another man at a shopping center on Wednesday.
According to police, 53-year-old Eric Townsend of Alabama walked into a police precinct in Smyrna and told officers he shot someone at the Windy Village Shopping Center at Windy Hill Road and Cobb Parkway.
Officers later found 21-year-old Jabril Blunt dead inside a car with multiple gunshot wounds.
Townsend faces murder and aggravated assault charges.
Police are investigating the relationship between Townsend and Blunt to determine a possible motive.
Townsend is now in Cobb County jail
