Couple sought in College Park shooting taunt police with photo

A couple wanted in connection with a College Park shooting in June has been taunting police on social media.

The couple reportedly shot a man at the Texaco station in the 5200 block of West Fayetteville Road that left him in critical condition. Police say the woman is identified as Shanice Jamila Weaver, 28, and her companion is identified as Jonathan Sanchez Bankston, 31, also known as “J.”

Police say Weaver had some previous relationship with Marquel Dalcoe, 30, who was shot and that she gave the gun to Bankston to shoot Dalcoe. Dalcoe was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he remains on life support and has had both legs amputated, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Bankson is wanted for aggravated assault and aggravated battery, police said. He is at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Weaver recently posted a photo of her wanted poster to her Instagram account and the photo also showed up on websites Enjoygram and Iconosquare, College Park police told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Thursday.

A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Weaver or Bankston. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
