Joy Kim and her husband are well aware about "weave-thieves" targeting area beauty supply stores for high-dollar hair extensions. Overnight someone smashed a U-Hall truck through the front of their store, J&J Beauty Supply, in the 2000 block of Sylvan Road and made off with a box of hair weaves.
"They took $1,500 to $2,000. I'm not sure; expensive hair," she said. "I'm really, really upset. I don't understand (why) this is happening."
Police told the AJC this is the second time in a week a weave thief used a stolen vehicle to get into a beauty supply store.
Detectives are looking at store video for any leads on a suspect.
