The GBI had issued no word as of midday Monday on the identity of a body found in a grassy area of the Georgia Perimeter College Clarkston campus Monday.
Students complained they received no information from the school about the discovery, saying they were worried about what they didn’t know. The body was discovered near the nursing school, where students were taking their final exams.
“It’s just creepy,” said one young woman.
“We saw it when we drove up this morning,” said one student.
Students said they usually receive text alerts about dangerous situations on campus from school safety officials. But as of noon, they had received no word.
“We had no idea what was going on,” said another.
“We just found out,” said a third.
And that had them a little worried.
“Very shocking,” said one woman. “You get concerned about your safety for sure.”
