Bad gas damaging cars in Riverdale

Some metro Atlanta drivers are furious after they paid for premium gas, but turns out, 90 percent of it was water.

Attorney Ricardo Mosby, who is representing two people whose cars suffered nearly $1,000 in damage, tells Channel 2 Action News the Georgia Department of Agriculture confirms that a sample from another person showed the same thing.

"I couldn't believe that anybody would have a percentage of water in their gas tanks especially given the cost of gas nowadays," said Mosby.

The manager of the Citgo station on Highway 85 in Riverdale said there had been a problem with rain water, but they are still waiting on an inspector to check it out.

"90 percent is not a mistake and I mean it's either negligence or intent," said Mosby.

The premium pumps remain locked up at the station for now.

"The question is, 'How many people's cars have been damaged,'" said Mosby.
