Atlanta Traffic from the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center

Major Interstate Incidents:

  • Gwinnett.: Cleared Injury Crash/Fuel Spill...Highway 316/eb at Collins Hill Rd. Expect delays.
  • Dekalb.: Cleared Crash...I-285/sb at Northlake Pkwy., off to the right.
  • Sandy Springs.: Crash...I-285/wb at Roswell Rd., off to the right.
  • Gwinnett.: Crash...I-985/sb after Friendship Rd., off to the right.

Major Highway and Surface Street Incidents: 

  • Drive safely and listen to 95.5FM/AM-750 News/Talk WSB for around the clock traffic updates.
  • South Fulton Co./East Point: Fire/Road Closures...Oakleigh Dr. and Harvester St. are closed.  Alternate: use Milledge St. to North Martin to Oakleigh Dr.
  • Atlanta: Injury Crash...Ponce De Leon Ave. at Oakdale Dr.
  • Roswell: Crash...Holcomb Bridge Rd. at Old Roswell Rd.
  • Cobb Co.: Injury Crash...S Marietta Pkwy. at Atlanta St.
  • DeKalb Co.: Road Repair...Clairmont Rd. just west of I-85. Only one lane is open in each direction and will be until further notice. Expect delays.

Ongoing Construction and Other Closures:

  • If you see construction or other closures in your area, let us know at #750 for free on Verizon Wireless or 404-897-7358 to the Alarm Force WSB 24-Hour Traffic Center. The lines are open 24/7/365.
  • Fulton Co.: Median Construction...Hwy. 74/sb at I-85. A left turn lane is blocked until further notice, which has caused backups onto I-85 in the area.
  • Atlanta: Streetcar Construction...Peachtree St./sb near Ellis St. At times, all lanes are blocked. Lanes are blocked on Ellis St. east of Peachtree St., too. Expect big delays at peak drive times.
  • Atlanta: I-85/GA-400 Interchange Work...Buford-Spring Connector/nb ramp to I-85/nb and the I-85/sb HOV ramp to Lindbergh Dr. have re-opened from their long-term closures. Crews sometimes block these ramps and parts of other roads in the area during the middays, weekends, and overnights.
  • Fulton Co.: Paving...Old Milton Pkwy. near North Point Pkwy. Expect delays.
  • Fulton Co.: Utility Work...Lake Forrest Dr. is blocked between Maryeanna Dr. and Stewart Dr. Lanes could be blocked for several months. Detours are in place.
  • Cobb Co.: Bridge Replacement...Paper Mill Rd. is blocked at the Sope Creek Bridge until 10/25. Detours are in place. Use Lower Roswell Rd. as an alternate.
  • Cobb Co.: Bridge Replacement...Canton Rd. will be blocked between Hwy. 41 and the Hwy. 5 Connector until early October. A detour to the Hwy. 5 Connector will be in place.
  • Gwinnett Co.: Lane Shift...Hwy. 316 at Hwy. 20 the travel lanes have been shifted to the outside lanes that will be used as exit lanes once construction is completed.  The speed limit has been decreased in the area. Expect delays off and on in the area.
