Mecole Hardman is the fastest ball carrier to score this season

Mecole Hardman Jr. scored on an 83-yard reception against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and according to Next Gen Stats, Hardman got up to 21.74 mph, which is the fastest a ball carrier has run on any touchdown this season in the NFL.

Hardman led both teams in receiving with two receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown. Hardman now has six receptions for 158 yards and two touchdowns during his rookie campaign with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hardman’s maximum speed of 21.74 mph is the third-fastest speed for a ball carrier all season, only trailing Cordarrelle Patterson and Saquan Barkley. Patterson got up to 22.23 mph on a 46-yard rush in week two for the Chicago Bears. Barkley got up to 21.76 mph on a 59-yard rush in week one for the New York Giants.

Hardman claims to have plenty left in the tank and that he was not even running at 100% on his touchdown run.
