The Oscar-winning Hanks, 62, with styled gray hair, is wearing a red sweater over a white shirt and tie paired with khaki pants as he tosses a shoe in the air.

The film is set for release in late November.

Hanks is starring in the new film, directed by Marielle Heller, and based on a story by journalist Tom Junod about how he and Rogers became friends.

Rogers, who hosted “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood” from 1968 until 2001, was also a musician, puppeteer and Presbyterian minister, who would have turned 91 on Wednesday. He died of stomach cancer in 2003 at the age of 74.
