ATLANTA — The SEC champion Georgia Bulldogs will get their shot at a national title. On Sunday afternoon, UGA was installed as one of the four schools that will compete for college football’s crown.

The Bulldogs are the #3 seed in the College Football Playoff.  Clemson is #1, with Oklahoma #2. The drama came with the #4 selection, which the selection committee gave to Alabama.

The semifinal playoff matchups will pit Georgia against Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl, along with Clemson’s face-off with Alabama in the Sugar Bowl.  Both games to be played on New Year’s Day.

The semifinal winners will meet Jan. 8 in Atlanta for the national championship.
