Audi of Gwinnett is down two cars today, this after thieves targeted the two cars.
Police are looking for the suspects and the cars, one an Audi A8, worth about $95,000 and an Audi RS7, worth just over $128,000.
The thefts began at about 7:30, when a man entered into the service department of the dealership. After a few minutes he made his way into the showroom, which was still closed.
"He milled around for a few minutes, and then began rifling through a desk," says Corporal Jake Smith. "He kept looking until he found some car keys."
The suspect then returned to the service department where he had the batteries in the key fobs replace. He then drove off in a silver passenger car with a sunroof.
Around 11 that morning, the suspect returned with a friend, entering onto the dealership by walking from another nearby car lot. The suspects then walked directly to the back lot, which is far less traveled than the main car lot.
"You can see them walking up and down the car aisles," Smith tells WSB. "We speculate they walked up and down, hitting buttons on the fobs until the cars made noise."
The suspects are still at large. Smith describes the two as black males, average build and average height, although one suspect is taller.
