Gwinnett County police need your help in finding the person who broke into eleven cars in one night near Gwinnett Place Drive on March 12th.
Corporal Wilbert Rundles tells WSB this happened when people were just enjoying a night out.
"It happened in the evening hours while people were inside with their family, friends, loved ones, whomever they were enjoying their meals with," said Rundles.
In all cases, the items taken were clearly visible. Rundles recommends hiding your valuables before you even get to your destination.
"That way when people see you get out and you have nothing and they look inside your vehicle and see nothing, chances are they'll have a much greater chance of just moving on," said Rundles.
Rundles says the suspect was caught on surveillance video and they're hoping that will lead to an arrest.
"We don't have anything telling us right now why he picked this particular area, other than it just being heavily populated and being able to access numerous vehicles in a very short amount of time," said Rundles.
Police are trying to determine if the thief may have hit in other jurisdictions. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS. Tipsters may get up to a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
