Tropical Storm Delta advances as it continues to weaken

No all day non-stop rain but scattered showers likely at times this weekend.

Heavy rain at times late afternoon and especially Saturday overnight. An isolated small weak brief tornado can not be ruled out.

Keep in mind that with tropical remnants or even tropical storms there often is not a lot of lightning and thunder, if any. But you can still get a heavy rain squall with strong winds, or even a small “spin-up” tornado without a thunderstorm so it can happen without warning.

Not expecting this to be widespread but it’s something to monitor in case that changes, with soggy soil it doesn’t take severe wind for a tree to fall.

Metro Atlanta rain the next 48 hours expected to average 1.5 inches with isolated 3-inch totals possible.
