Winter is the wettest season, and so far January 2023 rainfall is adding up!
Over 7 inches of rain has fallen at Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson International Airport this month, and Athens is already experiencing a Top 10 Wettest January on record with over 8.65 inches of rainfall this month.
But wait... There’s more...
A series of surface lows will bring humid air into the Southeast, sparking off round after round of rain showers. When it is not raining, clouds will still hover above the Metro Atlanta area, serving as a gloomy and grey wet blanket this week.
Thankfully, the rain showers this week will stay liquid this week -- temperatures will remain above freezing for Metro Atlanta through Friday morning.
