The dry air has arrived, and along with it, an early taste of Fall!
The temperature at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport dropped to 57 degrees, the coolest temperature since May 10.
Other areas around the Metro dropped to the low to mid 50s, including Carrollton which registered a low of 51 degrees.
Dry air will continue to flow through the Southeast this week, however the temperature will moderate along the way, eventually warming a few degrees into the low 60s through the weekend.
Afternoon temperatures will also moderate back into the mid 80s this week, however the humidity will be quite low so the temperatures will be tolerable.
Dry air is very quick to cool, and it is also quick to warm, so expect temperature swings to occur quickly at sunrise as well as sunset.
