Georgia offensive lineman Warren McClendon accepts Senior Bowl invite

Warren McClendon will get a chance to showcase what he can do in front of NFL scouts, as the Georgia offensive tackle accepted invite to the Senior Bowl, which will be held next week in Mobile, Ala.

McClendon was one of two players to accept an invite on Monday morning, with Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker being the other. Hooker tore his ACL in November in a loss against South Carolina.

Per Senior Bowl director Jim Nagy, McClendon will wear No. 77, the number of former teammate Devin Willock. The Georgia offensive lineman was recently involved in the tragic car accident that saw Willock and Georgia recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy die. McClendon was in the car’s front seat and sustained minor injuries in the crash.

McClendon was one of the best dependable linemen in recent memory for Georgia, as he was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs. From 2020 through this season, McClendon started 37 consecutive games at right tackle for the Bulldogs.
