ATHENS — Florida showed a week ago what could happen if you aren’t at your best against an FCS foe. Georgia showed why it’s in a much better place than Florida is at this point in time.
The No. 1 Bulldogs closed out their home slate with a 56-7 on Saturday to move to 11-0 on the season.
Recap: Georgia football eases to win on Senior Day
Georgia held a 28-0 lead after the first quarterback and never looked back. On senior day, Georgia took care of business and didn’t have to strain too hard for an easy victory.
The Bulldogs will travel to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech next week. It will be the first of two weekends in Atlanta for Georgia, as it will also play in the SEC championship game on Dec. 4. Georgia does not yet know its opponent for the game, though an Alabama win in either of its final two games would lock them in as representatives of the SEC West.
