Don McLean’s “American Pie” was No. 1 following its 1971 release, and with a runtime of 8 minutes and 42 seconds, was for 50 years the longest song ever to hold the spot. “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)” released by Swift last month, clocks in at 10 minutes and 13 seconds. Swift’s song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on Nov. 22, Billboard reported.

In a post on his website, McLean congratulated Swift, saying “Let’s face it, nobody ever wants to lose that #1 spot, but if I had to lose it to somebody, I sure am glad it was another great singer/songwriter such as Taylor.”

Along with the 10-minute version of “All Too Well,” Swift released a short film featuring the music she wrote and directed, Entertainment Tonight reported.
