The recall is limited specifically to refrigerated Nestlé Toll House Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough with Fudge Filling products that were sold between June and September.

Although no illnesses or injuries have been linked to the recall to date, the company stated that it “immediately took action out of an abundance of caution after a small number of consumers” reported the issue to Arlington, Virginia-based Nestlé.

Consumers who purchased the affected products are advised to not prepare the cookies and to return them to the place of purchase for a replacement or refund.

Consumers may contact Nestlé by calling 1-800-681-1676 Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EDT.

“The quality, safety and integrity of our products remain our number one priority. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this action represents to both our consumers and retail customers,” Nestlé stated in the recall notice.
