Paris Hilton said yes.
Venture capitalist Carter Reum proposed to the entrepreneur and influencer Saturday while celebrating the Hilton heiress’ 40th birthday on a private island, Vogue reported.
“I am excited about this next chapter and having such a supportive partner,” Hilton told the magazine, adding, “Our relationship is one of equals. We make each other better people. He was absolutely worth the wait!”
Hilton and Reum – whose M13 has invested in startups such as Daily Harvest, Lyft, Ring, and Rothys – have been dating for about 15 months.
“From our very first date, I was able to get to know the real Paris,” Reum told Vogue, adding, “As people who have seen her documentary and recent advocacy work know, Paris is kind, smart, driven, authentic, and an amazing woman, and I can’t wait to have her as a partner in life.”
Meanwhile, Hilton told People magazine that the novel coronavirus pandemic helped her prepare to take this next step with Reum.
“This past year with COVID has accelerated so many things. As someone who traveled constantly, I had a chance to stay home and reevaluate what was important to me. My relationship and the time I spent with Carter was a gift,” Hilton told the outlet. “I’m excited for our next chapter.”
And the ring? Reum selected an emerald-cut diamond designed by none other than Jean Dousset, the great-grandson of Louis Cartier, Vogue confirmed.
