John has teamed with toymaker giant Mattel to launch a version of the iconic doll, which became a pop culture item after it was introduced in 1959.

Instead of being sculpted in the singer’s likeness, the Elton John Barbie will pay tribute to his flamboyant style, Rolling Stone reported.

The Rocket Man will be honored with the doll’s wardrobe, which will not have electric boots or a mohair suit. However, the doll will sport a “glittery top" bomber jacket with stars on its sleeves and John’s name in script. Flared denim pants embellished with his initials are part of the doll’s wardrobe, according to Mattel’s website.

The outfit is capped off with rainbow-striped platform boots, a purple bowler hat and sparkly, pink-tinted sunglasses.

The doll costs $50 and is available on Walmart.com and on the Mattel website.

“The Elton John Barbie doll is a bold collaboration that personifies two cultural icons and honors the extraordinary artistry and musicianship of a stellar performer,” the doll’s description on the Mattel website states.

The launch of the commemorative doll coincides with the 45-year anniversary of John’s legendary 1975 concert at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. At the time, the concert broke a world record for the largest single-artist concert ever, Rolling Stone reported.

“Barbie is an icon in her own right, so having her pay tribute to my work and personal style is a real honor,” John told Rolling Stone. “I hope that she inspires fans everywhere to fearlessly pursue their own dreams and limitless potential.”
