AUSTIN, Texas — Matthew McConaughey may be an Oscar-winning actor, but he’s also trying to make sure that his fans take the coronavirus pandemic seriously.
He’s already worked with Austin Mayor Steve Adler to try to have college students stay home. He’s also hosted a virtual bingo game for residents of nursing homes.
Now, McConaughey is sitting down, albeit virtually, with Dr. Anthony Fauci to discuss the ongoing pandemic, KEYE reported.
He made the announcement on social media that he will interview Fauci Thursday on Instagram Live.
McConaughey didn’t say what he and Fauci will specifically discuss other than saying they would be “talkin shop,” The Austin American Statesman reported.
Not only is McConaughey taking on the coronavirus in his own way, he is also promoting his memoir “Greenlights” which will be published in October, KXAN reported.
