NEW YORK — Three people, including an 8-year-old trick-or-treater, are recovering from injuries after they were struck by stray bullets in New York’s Harlem neighborhood, authorities said.
According to WABC and WCBS, the incident occurred about 7 p.m. Saturday when two men began firing at each other on Lenox Avenue, New York police said. Stray bullets struck three people, including a 39-year-old man and his daughter, who were trick-or-treating, as well as a 36-year-old woman, the news outlets reported.
Doctors at a nearby hospital treated the woman for a gunshot wound to her arm, WCBS reported. The man, who also was shot in the arm, and his daughter, who was shot in the knee, also went to the hospital, authorities said.
