NEW YORK — The Boss will soon be back on Broadway.

Legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen confirmed via Twitter on Monday that “Springsteen on Broadway” is returning for a limited summer run, starting June 26 at the St. James Theatre.

Springsteen’s reprisal will mark the first Broadway show to open since the COVID-19 pandemic forced curtains to drop abruptly industrywide, The Wall Street Journal reported.

“I loved doing ‘Springsteen on Broadway’ and I’m thrilled to have been asked to reprise the show,” Springsteen said in a prepared statement.

Based on his 2016 memoir “Born to Run,” the one-man Springsteen show debuted at the Walter Kerr Theatre in 2017 and led audiences on a “40-year journey through the Jersey icon’s personal history and songs,” NJ.com reported.

According to the outlet, the first run yielded an album and a Netflix adaptation documenting the final December 2018 performance of the 236-show run.

The summer run is slated to end Sept. 4.

Audience members over the age of 15 will be required to present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status to attend the show, while those 15 and younger must be accompanied by a vaccinated adult and provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test, the Journal reported.

Meanwhile, entry times will be staggered to minimize crowds, and the theater’s ventilation systems have been upgraded to MERV 13 filters, NJ.com reported.

Tickets for “Springsteen on Broadway” will go on sale Thursday, with opening night proceeds benefiting a host of New York and New Jersey charities.
