NEW YORK — Police in New York have arrested a suspect accused of raping an 11-year-old girl at a home in Brooklyn's Brownsville neighborhood, authorities said.
According to WPIX-TV, police believe that Andre Clarke, 45, raped the girl in her home about 9 a.m. Saturday. She was treated at a nearby hospital, where her condition was listed as stable, authorities said.
Police arrested Clarke early Sunday at a Queens hotel, WABC-TV reported. He faces rape, sex abuse and other charges, authorities said.
Police believe Clarke may have sexually abused other victims, as well, WABC reported.
