Where can you vote early on Saturday for the U.S. Senate runoff?

ATLANTA — The U.S. Senate runoff between incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock and challenger Herschel Walker will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

Early voting will be available in most Georgia counties between Nov. 28 and Dec. 2. However, certain counties will start early voting starting on Saturday.

Warnock and Walker were forced into a runoff because neither candidate won a majority in the midterm election earlier this month.

Originally, the Secretary of State’s Office said early voting was not permitted on Saturday, Nov. 26 due to a law that prohibits early voting within two days of a holiday. Nov. 26 falls after Thanksgiving and a state holiday the following day.

A lawsuit filed in Fulton County Superior Court by Democrats challenged this law.

A judge ruled to allow counties to add Saturday voting, saying that the law cited by the state regarding Saturday voting after a holiday does not apply to a runoff election.

Lawyers for the state filed an appeal with the Georgia Court of Appeals asking the court to immediately stay the lower court ruling, but that appeal was denied. Another appeal filed by Republican groups was also denied.

Here are the counties where early voting will be available on Saturday, Nov. 26 within north Georgia.

Most counties will have only a few locations open on Saturday. Check with your local elections office for the address of the voting locations and their operating hours.
