ATLANTA — Vice President Kamala Harris is coming to Atlanta to help get more people vaccinated against the coronavirus.
Channel 2 Action News confirmed the visit will be next Friday and it will be a part of the COVID “Month of Action.”
It’s currently not known when and where the event will be. But we’re working on learning more about the event.

The Biden administration’s plan is to “mobilize an all-of-America sprint to get 70% of U.S. adults at least one shot by July 4th.”
The White House said 12 states have already given at least one shot to 70% of adults and more than 28 states and D.C. have fully vaccinated 50% or more of their adult populations.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, 41% of adults in Georgia have at least one dose of the vaccine. Thirty five percent of adults are fully vaccinated in the state.
Harris will also visit Greenville, South Carolina, Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina as part of the tour.
