Special coins being sold to honor fallen Cobb County deputies, proceeds to go to families

The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office has come up with a new way to honor two fallen deputies and help their families.

The department announced Tuesday that it is selling specially designed coins honoring deputies Marshall Ervin Jr. and Jonathan Koleski.

The sheriff’s office said the special coins are “available for purchase and the proceeds will go to the families of the fallen.”

For every $10 coin, $6 will be donated to the families.

The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office said if you would like to buy one of the coins, contact Sgt. Hunter at 770-312-1140 or email her at Elizabeth.Hunter@cobbcounty.org. You can also contact Deputy Traugott at 404-877-2424 or email him at Eric.Traugott@cobbcounty.org.

The coins will be on sale through Oct. 8.
