SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — Several roads in South Fulton were shut down after a crash between a train and tractor-trailer late Monday evening, according to police.
According to South Fulton police, officers responded to the area of Roosevelt Highway and Roberts Road after reports of a crash just before 10 p.m.
Police say a tractor-trailer was trying to get into Strategic Material when the trailer was hit by a CSX train while crossing over the tracks, according to WSBTV.
Authorities say the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured. The tractor-trailer and front of the train were damaged.
According to police, Buffington Road at Roosevelt Highway and Roosevelt Highway at Rockhill Road were shut down due to the investigation.
It is unclear when the roads will reopen.
