A Powder Springs teen has landed himself behind bars for speeding and reckless driving.
Officers in Powder Springs were working the area of CH James Pkwy just before 3 a.m. on Sunday when they spotted two cars racing at very high speeds.
When a responding officer checked their speed, he clocked one of the drivers at 133 mph and the other driver at 124 mph -- in a 55 mph zone.
The officer was able to stop the one of the drivers, who police say was 19 years old and driving an Infinity. He was taken to jail.
There is no word on what happened to the other driver.
Police said the responding officer could have saved the young man’s life and other motorists further down the street.
