Authorities are searching for the person who fired shots into a car early Monday morning on Interstate 85 near Lindbergh in Midtown Atlanta, injuring a woman inside.
Police closed lanes of I-85 north at Ga. 400 around 5 a.m. due to the investigation.
According to police, around 4:45 a.m., the victim was a passenger in a car driving on I-85 when a black sedan pulled beside of the car and someone began shooting.
The woman was injured, and the driver pulled over. The shooter’s car drove off.
The victim was taken to the hospital and was listed as stable.
WSB’s photographer over the scene captured images that showed officers investigating a light-colored sedan in the shoulder of the interstate.
